What a Day for a Day Dream

I have absolutely not been in the mood to make comics for the past, like, week (and I was horribly sick the week before that). But I slogged my way through this one anyway. And you know why? You guys, man. I LOVE YOU GUYS.

No, seriously, though. I have both Metal Gear Solid 4 and FF Crystal Chronicles: Rings of Fate I could've been playing. Instead, I wrote a new Linko Man. If I'd've found a copy of Mario Kart Wii by now, there'd been no hope at all.

The comic I'm going to praise today is Abject Enthusiasm, by Michael (Karptin). Seven fans, SJ? Really? That's all you could muster for this greatness? You sicken me.

Uh, what can I say about it? A lot of comics try to go for the whole "LOL RANDOM" bit thinking it's just automatically funny, but Michael has an understanding of the kind of timing, cartooning and irony necessary to bring humor from whatever purposeless situation floats across his psyche. And he barely has to try! Or at least, if he is, he makes it look easy.

Okay, some of you are the stuffy kind who demand structure and romanticism for your oh-so-sophisticated comic needs, but at least check it out. It's not long, and come on, it's better than seven fans.

I need to go lie down.

EDIT - I forgive him for the crack about Sprite Comics. We deserve it.

thanks for the plug! i feel unworthy of such praise. i do pen and paper comics because i do not have the patience or creativity required for sprite comics.

I definitely thank you for appreciating the patience needed for tedious sprite work, but I think drawn comics have a greater capacity for creativity. I APPLAUD YOU.
